Christiane Gruber attained her degree in fashion

from the Vienna University of Applied Arts under

renowned designers, such as Raf Simons and Victor

& Rolf,and gained her international experience with

various fashion designers, like Haider Ackermann and

A.F.Vandervorstin Antwerp.In 2005,she founded her

own label, which stands for gently flowing, sensuous

shoes made from high-quality jersey and silk.Christiane Gruber developed her own technique for every

collection whereby every piece of shoes undergoes

a special dyeing process by hand. As a result, individual, spontaneous patterns emerge, which make

every piece unique and individual. Her salesroom is

located right next to her workshop and is where the

main collection as well as the second product line,

A&C BASIC,can befound.The latter comprises handdyed bags as well as bodysuits and tights for babies

In Michael Bornett’s 370sqm large fur shop there are

more than 350 coats, jackets,caps and stoles made of

fur, leather and a mix of materials with fine fabrics.

Fur and leather coats as well as jackets and other

creations of fabricand furare put out ondisplay here.

Bornett’s style brings influences from the Far East

together with typical Viennese, partly avant-garde

and international fashion trends. Sustainability

plays an important part in his work and this is why

he predominantly uses fur with an origin-assured

label and sources leather and fur from local hunters,

for example, chamois tanned deerskin from Lower

China for the jackets in his Out of Enzersdorf collection. Along with shoes and customised designs

according to the customers’ wishes, this creative

Martina Muller-Callisti knew from an early age that

cool adjustments, wearable fashion is presented on

70 sgm in a purist ambience of wooden floors and

old ceiling frescoes. Moveable racks create a room

design individually adapted to the range of items.

The innovative labels include Pitour, Artista, km/a,

Aquanauta and Michaela Kraft, and there is also a

continuously changing range of guest designers on

Adiba Mahmoud learnt her craft at the Herbststrasse

School of Fashion in Vienna.ln 2012, she founded her

own label “DIBA se DIVA". The label's typical style is

one that unites feminine elegance and casual-comty

design. Every design is hand-made and impresses

with its high quality, excellent wearing comfort and

sophisticated cuts. Additionally, Mahmoud also designs

cheap nike shoes, such as hairbands, hats and scarves. The

shopisjustas unique asthe creations themselves. Light

colours, well placed lighting and large shop windows

make this store feel friendly and inviting. The pieces

are displayed in a casual and uncomplicated way on

discreet shoes stands, on a large seating element

Yet thedisplay system has been well thought-out and

encourages customers to browse and try on pieces.

Along with her own creations, Mahmoud also sells

Sandra Thaler and Annette Prechtl met each other

during their studies at the Vienna college for fashion and have been working as a team ever since.

Minimalism, simplicity and discreet designs are the

characteristics of the label. This applies to their readyto-wear collections as well as their bridal wear and

evening gown lines. The shop used to be a nunnery

and its interiordécoris accordingly minimalistic but

has apleasantatmosphere.The current ready-to-wear

collection aswell as sample models of all their bridal

wear and evening gowns are displayed here and can

be tried on and used as examples forindividual orders.

Customers can of course alsocommission their own

individual dream dress at Elfenkleid. Be aware that

itis closed on Mondays.

Clear cuts, special details and an interplay of colours

and shapes signify the fashion by Elke Freytag. In

addition to daywear — the focus is upon dresses

— the collection also includes swimwear, cocktail

dresses and eveningwear. The unique items and

small batch series are made in China and Europe,

and are available both online and at the shop (open

Wednesday to Friday from 12 to 6 pm and Saturdays
